I was passed some information a few days ago that indicated that Mark Williams and his long term partner Joanne Dent are to get married this year.  I asked our reported at The Crucible, Imran Sidat,  is quiz Mark on this at his earliest convenience and this evening he got the chance when Mark returned to The Crucible after leaving to head back to his hotel and forgetting about attending the press conference!

All Mark would let on to Imran is that it will be in the summer and somewhere hot!

My source has said that the wedding could be as early as the end of May as for the location being hot, I know it will be abroad somewhere and at best guess I would say that he will probably follow in fellow Welsh player, Matthew Steven’s footsteps and head for a Caribbean island.

Mark has been engaged to Joanne for over 10 years and they have two children Connor (7) who’s birthday was just before The World Championships and Kian (4)
